The Clendenin Homecoming Festival Pageant is held in April of every year in order to prepare our royalty for their responsibilities to the festival and to the town. We expect our representatives to be spokespersons for our town, community and it’s citizens at a statewide level. Through appearances, community service, and activism we encourage our Royalty to emphasize tourism to our lovely town and dedicate themselves to a year of service to others.

Heather Roush
Heather Roush is the Clendenin Homecoming Festival Pageant Director. She has been involved in pageantry for more than twenty years as a contestant, coach, director, pageant mom, and sash designer. After entering a local pageant as a teenager she instantly fell in love with pageants and traveled West Virginia competing in them. Heather has a proven track record of pageant production since she began directing pageants over fifteen years ago and has held pageants all over the region since then. Heather lives in Charleston and has two children, River and Reese. Heather earned a Bachelors degree from West Virginia State University and is an Account Executive with Integrity Insurance Group, LLC in Charleston, WV. In addition to the CHF, Heather is heavily involved in multiple community and charity organizations statewide.

The 2019 Clendenin Homecoming Festival Queen & Teen pageant will be held on April 6, 2019 at the First Baptist Church of Clendenin auditorium. Links to the entry forms to be printed are listed below.
Select the divisions below to learn more about the prize packages for each category.
Queen Division: $125
Pageant open to residents of West Virginia and United States citizen
Must be ages 19-27
Single, never married, never given birth to or have adopted a child
Must compete in ALL phases of competition
Winner will be given a cash prize of $1000, crown, sash, plaque.
Teen Division: $100
Pageant open to residents of West Virginia and United States citizen
Must be ages 14-18 years old
Single, never married, never given birth to or have adopted a child
Must compete in ALL phases of competition
Winner will be given a cash prize of $500, crown, sash, and plaque.
Jr Teen Division: $75
Pageant open to residents of West Virginia and United States citizen
Must be ages 10-13 years old
Single, never married, never given birth to or have adopted a child
Must compete in ALL phases of competition
Winner will be given a cash prize of $150, crown, sash, plaque.

Interview
The judge’s panel will meet with each contestant for a private interview. Interview will last up to 3 minutes per contestant. The basic tool for conducting this interview is your fact sheet. The judges may use their own questions but the majority will be based off you fact sheet.
Personal Sense of Style
Contestants have the opportunity to express their own style and personality through fashion.
Evening Wear
Should be a floor length gown and age appropriate.

Pageant begins
* Contestants are allowed one person in the dressing room to help them get ready. Pageant will be held at the Clendenin First Baptist Church. Directions will be provided in the welcome letter sent before the pageant. Dressing rooms will be provided but outlets and mirrors are limited so please feel free to bring power strips and mirrors of your own. Winners will be allowed to compete at the state level pageant of their choice but will be at their own expense. However, we as a board are very supportive of our royalty and will help with all fundraisers that the ladies may want to have.
