When a few Clendenin citizens first sat down to establish the festival in 2017, their aim was to encourage people to return to Clendenin showcasing the town’s successful progress after the flooding in 2016. Our Mission, as set by our founders, is to create a renowned festival in West Virginia of the highest quality with artists, thinkers, and leaders, attracting and engaging a broad and diverse audience celebrating and building community and advancing economic development.

Our founders believed as we do today, that when hard work and big ideas come together, we heighten our ability to understand, imagine, and bond as a community. The underlying goal of our festival is to bring people together in one place to celebrate our tenacity, preservation, and success.
